Business Manager wanted
We are urgently looking for a new business manager
Business Manager – With a passion for economics, school administration and young people
Since our current business manager has got a job as a case manager in the municipality, we are urgently looking for a skilled and committed Business Manager who will lead our administration.
In the administration, the business manager will collaborate with the office assistant on daily tasks and with the superintendent on both strategy and management of the finances.
Experience from a college or university would be an advantage, but not a requirement. You will solve a number of key financial tasks at the school. This includes budgeting and follow-up, ongoing bookkeeping and reconciliation, receipts and disbursements, reporting to boards, contracts and fees for part-time teachers and lecturers, salaries for permanent employees, etc. In addition, you will prepare financial material for the school's board meetings, as well as annual accounts in collaboration with our auditor. Our business manager teaches a group of students in Everyday Economics every Tuesday morning.
Professionally skilled, curious and passionate about young people
As our new colleague, you will be a manager in administration.
- You have experience with (school) economics – ideally from a college or vocational school (this is not a requirement), where a good knowledge of the college movement, support schemes, etc. is a clear advantage.
- You have education or experience that enables you to keep track of finances that consist of individual participant payments, funds, government support and other income.
- You have a digital mindset and are comfortable working in Excel.
- Knowledge of KOMiT, Reviboks and Digiflow would also be a clear advantage.
- You work independently and are flexible in terms of stepping in when needed.
- You enjoy young people and want to help both students and colleagues with various tasks in the office.
- You can teach young people about Everyday Economics
- As a financial manager in a vibrant college environment where interaction with students is a central element, we expect you to meet students with open arms on a daily basis and help them with special projects, special weekends, party budgets, etc.
- Your position is full-time. The work tasks vary, as do the working hours throughout the year.
Your profile
- You are typically the first person prospective students, parents or counselors talk to, so you are smiling and welcoming - even over the phone.
- You are a structured and independent person who follows through on tasks regardless of size.
- You are passionate about a healthy and vibrant working life, where you play a major role in developing the administration.
- You value teamwork, but you can also work independently.
- Cross-functional collaboration and team understanding are important qualities to possess. We are a small workplace where collaboration and helpfulness across the organization is super important.
