And here there is room to be young.

While attending Folk High School you will experienceEVERYDAY and PARTY

EVERYDAY AT THE COLLEGE

At UHR we start the day with breakfast from 8:30 a.m. Whether you want to sit and enjoy homemade bread, a delicious bowl of muesli or just grab a quick coffee before the morning meeting is entirely up to you.

Breakfast ends at 9:10, and then it's time to clean up after breakfast and clean the common areas.

The morning classes start at 9:30 a.m. It can be morning assembly, house time, work with student democracy in committees or a joint forum.

The day continues with the subjects at 10:00 a.m. You have chosen the subjects you have, from our many different offerings, and there is something for every interest.

At 12:30, lunch is ready – followed by a break where you can, for example, hang out with the others, do some washing or take a power nap.

13:45 PM classes continue until 15:30 PM. On Tuesdays there is no afternoon class, but time for a joint student meeting held by the student council and a contact group meeting.

The rest of the day is yours to do. You can take a trip to the water, cycle into Ribe or join in with what the activity committee has planned.

Dinner is presented at 17:45 PM and the meal lasts until 18:30 PM.

There will be evening classes offered every week, which is a voluntary offer you can participate in if you wish.

At 22 p.m., the teacher on duty goes home with the on-call phone in his pocket. Since there is no teacher at the school after 22 p.m., there is no one to decide when or with whom you sleep. You are welcome to visit each other, watch movies until late at night, or listen to quiet music. However, there must be quiet after 22.30:5 p.m., so that people can sleep – and be ready for the next day. Even though there is no teacher at the school, you will always be able to get hold of the on-call teacher if the need arises. It should be emphasized, however, that this should only be in situations that you cannot handle yourself. The on-call teacher is also there in less than XNUMX minutes.

PARTIES & CAFE EVENINGS

Parties are great and here at UHR we love to party!

Every other Friday, the student café committee sets up a Friday bar. The Friday bar can have a theme such as Casino, Pajama Party or something completely different. In the bar you can find everything from beer, Breezers to shots and soda – you won't miss anything. The café committee members are at the bar and count sales the next day. We clean up together.

6 times a year we go all out and hold big theme parties. Here, the big keys are played and the whole thing is really kicked up a notch. Although we have a party committee that is behind the organization of the parties, we all work together to make sure that the decorations are according to the theme, cozy nooks are created around the large dance floor and that preparations are made for party games and fun acts. For the big parties, the bar is bigger and the selection is expanded with delicious drinks. The party committee members receive a drinks course so that they are ready to serve like pros.
Here too, we handle the cleanup and cleaning together the next day – Party hard, clean hard!
