We’re playing music together! We will pick out a few songs we want to work with, and then have a good time learning them. Skill level doesn’t matter; everyone is welcome.
We’re singing in a choir! Anyone’s welcome regardless of experience, as we try out our vocal harmonies in pop, rock, or whichever genres we feel like.
We will make some entertaining small pieces of drama - either on stage or as small video sequences. You can both write new features or rewrite already existing texts. The only thing required is a good mood and fun and exciting ideas. Whether you are a real drama shark or have never tried acting, you are more than welcome in this class.
We’re playing in a band. During this spring, you’ll become a tight musical unit, and create a set-list of the songs you want to play the most.
We must explore the wonderful, fantastic world of drama in different ways. Work must be done on character building, improvisation and status exercises. You must find the security of standing on a stage with the others in the team. We have to perform funny sketches and smaller productions. You have to bring yourself as the most important tool, and then a lot of fun and challenging moments await within the very broad drama genre.
Role-playing games are a platform where you can test your own limits, explore crazy ideas and immerse yourself deeply into the story we create together.
Maybe you've heard of Dungeons and Dragons or tabletop role-playing games. Have you ever had a fantasy of being someone else? perhaps a mighty warrior, seductive musician, clever burglar, or an ancient sorcerer. With our own characters, we explore exciting adventure worlds, abandoned ruins and strange ideas together.
If this sounds exciting, then role-playing games are for you. With a combination of role-playing and dice games, we embark on an exciting adventure where our own imagination is the limit.
Have you ever wanted to try singing and playing music, but haven’t yet made an attempt? This is your chance! In Band 101 everyone is welcome; all you need is your enthusiasm.
Children are an immediate audience where the response comes immediately. We must explore this universe and create smaller or larger plays that we must show to each other. Together, we must find the tools used in this genre, and perhaps watch some clips that bring childhood nostalgia to the surface.
Hopefully it will end with a small performance for the local children in the area.
Are you crazy about words? And do you dream of putting them together in a crazy or brilliant way? In this subject, you have to juggle with words and create short texts about everything and nothing. No topic is too small to talk about, and depending on how much you reach, you can make as many texts as you want. If you want to play with words in a funky way, then throw yourself into the poetry slam genre, which can be both hilarious and very serious.
In this subject, we will focus on solo productions of different nature. We will see each other perform in different ways, and come across genres such as poetry slam, storytelling and stand up. All people have exciting stories, and we must bring them into the spotlight. Maybe a single joke is enough for you, but you also get the opportunity to dig a little deeper when we find out what your product(s) should be. Although it will end with a solo challenge, throughout the course we will use various exercises which will be done together in the team. We will also see some clips where we will learn more about the different genres.
We are going to do a little Christmas play. Because isn't there something suspicious about Santa Claus? And what is his secret? It can go in any direction, but will definitely end up being a crazy Christmas story
We’re singing Christmas songs! Get into the Christmas spirit in the Christmas choir, where we’re gonna have a good time singing a bunch of Christmas songs, some of which you’ll know, some of which will be new favorites.
Through various exercises, we must find security in the noble art of improvisation. Through various exercises, the laughing muscles must be stretched to the limit, and you will develop your comic sense in this process.
Along the way, we will compete with and against each other in various theater sports disciplines, where we can hopefully end up with a theater sports evening for the other students at UHR
