Please notice that you have to pay the total amount for the stay, before starting the course.
Please notice that if you are from Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Greenland, Finland or the Faroe Islands you will not need a visa. This also applies if you have dual citizenship, with Danish as one of them.

Residence permit: € 75
As a student from an EU country you shall NOT apply for residence permit before you come to Denmark. Within the first months you are in Denmark, you must go to a SIRI office and give in an OD1 application for an EU-residence permit. We will book an appointment at the SIRI office and arrange for you to go to this office, after you have arrived at Ungdomshøjskolen ved Ribe. The residence permit fee covers the expenses related to the trip to the SIRI office.
Visa € 350
When you live outside EU and need to apply for Visa to study at UHR, you have to pay the total amount for the stay at once, before you can apply for a Visa, which has to be done no earlier than 3 months before the course start – according to the rules of Danish Immigration Service. Further you have to pay a VISA fee, to cover the Visa the school pays for you.

If you live outside the European Union, you will have to pay the full amount, before you can apply for a Visa.
We all go in a study trip each semester. This means that we travel and experience the world both in the autumn and in the spring. There is no extra payment for the study trip, as it is covered by the tuition fee. Expenses for visa and vaccinations will be held by the students.
If you cancel the course more than 2 month before the course start, you will get the paid amount returned except for a administration fee of €200, bank fees and registration fee for Visa, if the Visa application has been started.
If you cancel the course less than 2 month before the course start, you will get the paid amount returned except for the full registration fee, bank fees and registration fee for Visa, if the Visa application has been started.
For cancellations later than 1 month before the course start, you will furthermore pay for the first 4 weeks of the course.
If stopping during the course – no matter the reason for the stop – payment for the attended weeks at Ungdomshøjskolen ved Ribe plus an extra 4 weeks are paid. Cancellation of the course attendance is registrered from the week where the room key is returned to the school and the room left in correct clean condition.
It is important that we all function well together at the højskole. This means that everyone functions in the everyday life, attending the tasks and duties, that comes with living in a large household. This includes cleaning and kitchen duties.
In the same way, it is important that everyone follow the general guidelines of the højskole, concerning respectful behavior and staying quiet during nighttime as well as respecting the rules on smoking, alcohol and drugs. If we find that you cannot be part of the community in an independent, stabile and responsible way, we can choose to stop your stay. If you are signed out due to wrongful behavior, you will not get a refund for the rest of the course.
