Art

+

If you are curious about the many different genres the art world has to offer, then it's time to go in depth with your own creativity. This is the subject where you will meet a wide range of creative directions and tasks such as painting, drawing, street art, land art, photography and much much more. You will create artworks from scratch, learn to realize your ideas, dive into art history, explore design languages and techniques and learn to reflect on your own and others' art. The subject will be a mixture of fixed courses and assignments and your own independent art projects.

Graphic Sewing

+

Graphic Sewing is actually patchwork sewing with a modern twist. Patchwork is an old technique where you sew smaller pieces of fabric together into larger pieces, e.g. blankets and tablecloths. The fabric patches are typically cut into various geometric shapes before being sewn together in decorative patterns. We are going to make patterns with a sharp graphic expression which can be used as fabric for bags and purses etc.

Abstract Art

+

Abstract art is colors, shapes and the result of many layers, techniques and materials. In this subject, you will dive into the non-figurative art, and gain an understanding of what it takes to work with this fantastic, fun and difficult art form. You will gain insight into the many directions the abstract art contains and of course try creating paintings from the very small to the huge ones.

Crazy Hats

+

We will make something that you can carry on our head. Some of it will look like a hat, some of it wont … it will look like, well, something else. We will be working in non-traditional materials and create fun and probably quite crazy expressions.

Fashion Design

+

In this long-term class, we dive into a glamorous world of tulle and satin. We will design and sew beautiful gala dresses or create your fave summer outfit. Sewing a garment is a long process where we search for inspiration and designs. The next step is to find a pattern, sew samples and adjust it so that it fits perfectly on the body. We have to pick out colours, fabrics and accessories, and then we have to sew, sew, sew!

Weaving

+

Weaving is the new black in the world of crafts. We will design our own projects made from recycled yarn, fabric and other materials. There are lots of techniques that help to create a modern and wild expression. We make our woven projects into wall hanging designs. If you're still in doubt about what it's all about, go to Instagram and search for #weaverfever

Sculpture

+

In this subject we will work with three dimensional designs in the form of sculptures. Everything is possible in this subject, and no materials are too difficult or boring to be part of a creative concept. We will work with large and small projects, with shapes, materials and colors. There will be a focus on idea development and the journey from idea to finished work.

Macramé

+

Macramé is the hottest thing on Instagram and Pinterest right now and is one of the old techniques that has been revived. Maybe you already have it in your home, those cool plant hangers or wall hangers made of yarn? Here you will learn how to make both them, but also bracelets, keychains and much more with this easy technique that can be used quickly by both beginners and experienced.

Wallart

+

We are going to paint, draw, build or model large art pieces on the school walls ... together. Art is often something that we do by ourselves, all alone. But it's certainly not the case in this subject, where we focus on working together and achieving goals we set up for our large art projects together.

Street Art

+

Take a journey into the history of Street Art and learn more about one of the most important art forms of our time. Through images, texts and films, we will try to understand the artists' motives and become acquainted with strong societal issues such as consumer culture, power, religion, surveillance and capitalism. In addition, we dive into a melting pot of directions, trends and subcultures that revolve around hip hop, advertising, social media, politics, sex and much more. After understanding the genre better we will do our own street art at school based on your ideas.

Spring Merch Design

+

Here you get the opportunity to design this year's so-called "class of ´XX - hoodie". But should it be a hoodie at all? Could it not be a t-shirt, a hat, a bag or something else? You will help to design the print for one or more chosen styles, examine prices and options, to finally start production and thus create this year's merch.

Ties & Bows

+

Do you need a tie but not just any tie for the Gala or that extra accessory that makes your outfit absolutely perfect, you can make it in the last design course of the semester. In the best haute couture style, we design and hand sew ties, bows and similar accessories that take our outfit to new heights.

BeDazzled

+

BeDazzled is all about decoration and glitter! We will upgrade our wardrobe with a ruffle here and a little bling there. Here really is the opportunity to put your own unique stamp on your clothes. Everyone can participate, only imagination sets the limits.

You design your own schedule while you are at school. Each semester, we tell you more about the individual subjects before you choose the subjects you find interesting.
