The study trip – in itself – is quite interesting. If you weren’t close enough to your folk high school friends here home at school, you will certainly be on the study tour. Here you really experience having to plan, collaborate, look after and respect each other – maybe to an even greater degree than at home at the college. And, of course, it is an experience of a lifetime to be able to travel out and see the world with your entire college.
As part of your stay at the folk high school, the study trip is a natural part of your course at Ungdomshøjskolen ved Ribe. We travel twice a year – in the autumn semester and in the spring semester – and go around both Northern and Southern Europe. If you choose to be a student for a full year, you will therefore go on two trips during your stay.
The study trip is a special part of your stay at the folk high school. You get to know other countries and cultures at the same time as you get to reflect on yourself and the world you come from.
The trip usually lasts a short week and is planned and organized by a handful of teachers at the college. The only thing you need to worry about is your passport, your health insurance certificate, and your packing list for the trip.
Every semester we go on a study trip in southern or northern Europe. It is a fantastic and intense experience to go out into the world together with the school and the friends.
