Danish

+

“Rød grød med fløde” See, that’s not as easy to say for everybody! And that’s why you have the possibility to take a crash course in the Danish language and culture so that you, hopefully, understand what’s being said when you hunt for snacks in Brugsen, wait in line in the dining hall, or maybe even catches what the teacher is translating for your Danish friends during class.

Writer's workshop

+

Are you a bookworm? Do you enjoy writing yourself or would you just like to become better at playing with the language, and at the same time become better at grammar, then this subject is a good opportunity for that. We need to find your little author and try out different approaches to authorship in collaboration with a real author. Together we will explore and play with the language and take it seriously. It is said that a picture says more than 1000 words, we should definitely prove that's not the case.

Math

+

8 ÷ 2(2+2) = ? Is the result for the calculation 1 or 16, and do you add, multiply, divide or calculate fractions first? If you feel like many other people and see mathematics as another language, and you can't quite remember the basic rules in math, don't fear. In Mathematics we all start from scratch and there are no stupid questions. We learn mathematics together through a more practical understanding, where we help each other through play and games. So if you want to get ready for higher education, or just need to give back the right tips, then math is definitely something for you.

People in Boxes

+

You know it all too well, you see another person and instantly with just a little gaze up and down you know everything about them. You know what type they are, which types they get along with, what kind of music they listen to. Prejudice and box thinking about humans is a natural survival instinct, but what are the consequences of our prejudice and that we are so quick to judge each other? We will look at group dynamic, gender roles, normes, stereotypes and everything in between.

Cool to be kind

+

We have to plan various activities for people in the local area, as well as carry them out. Maybe we have to play with children in a kindergarten, or play bingo in a care home. The joy of pleasing other people plays the prominent role, so if you think it's "cool to be kind" - then join in on this class.

Role-playing games

+

Role-playing games are a platform where you can test your own limits, explore crazy ideas and immerse yourself deeply into the story we create together. Maybe you've heard of Dungeons and Dragons or tabletop role-playing games. Have you ever had a fantasy of being someone else? perhaps a mighty warrior, seductive musician, clever burglar, or an ancient sorcerer. With our own characters, we explore exciting adventure worlds, abandoned ruins and strange ideas together. If this sounds exciting, then role-playing games are for you. With a combination of role-playing and dice games, we embark on an exciting adventure where our own imagination is the limit.

Board Games

+

If you always wanted to go in depth and become a full geek, then this is the course for you. We will challenge each other and look at how different boardgames/card games are played differently and what makes them work/doesn’t make them work. We will rate the different games and make a guide for the rest of the students about which games are good and what they are good for.

Personal development

+

Who are we, what is important in our lives, how do others perceive us? In personal development, we work with ourselves and our own "foundation". Through self-reflection, we must put into words our own values and feelings. What is motivation and how are we motivated? What goals do you have for yourself, both short-term and long-term. What makes us happy? And wholesome? How do you set boundaries for yourself and others? What does it really mean to be human? Through various exercises, we try to learn more about our own and other people's attitudes and we try to gain a greater understanding of who we are.

You design your own schedule while you are at school. Each semester, we tell you more about the individual subjects before you choose the subjects you find interesting.
